I had a cousin with
Down syndrome and so it means
a lot to me to be able to support this very
important charity.
Up for Reading
will help children all around the
world. Isn’t this a great way to raise money? I know
some people like to go on walks or organise raffles,
but reading is my favourite! What could be more fun
than reading a good book?

Val is supporting Up for Reading
by donating the prize of being a virtual writer in residence to one
lucky school for one term.
Val is best known for The Time Wreccas, which was nominated for
the first Ottakar’s Prize for Children’s Fiction and is now being
transformed into a stage play, and The Time Apprentice. She is a
popular visitor to schools around the country.
