Hello, I'm Eleanor Updale, the author of the Montmorency books, and I'm backing Up for Reading with all my heart.

Of course, it's wonderful that by taking part you will be helping people with Down syndrome - but it's great that you will have so much fun while you are raising money.

Don't let anyone turn it into a chore. Enjoy your reading. That way you will want to read more, and more people will benefit from your sponsors' money.

Anne Colledge is Up for Reading

Anne Colledge photoMy name is Anne Colledge and I am Up for Reading.

I am a children's author and my books are Northern Lights and Falling into Fear. Both books have deaf heroes.

I was a Teacher for Deaf Children for over thirty years and during this time I was lucky to meet and work with many children with Down syndrome. They enriched my life, so I support the wonderful work done by Down Syndrome Education International.

Best Wishes,
Anne Colledge
