Lucy Cousins and
Maisy
are Up for Reading
Hi there!
I'm Lucy Cousins and I'm sure you all know my friend Maisy.
I was introduced to Down Syndrome Education International's amazing work by a friend
of mine who has a young child with Down syndrome.
Maisy and me are delighted to support the charity’s Up for Reading
campaign.
It’s a great way to encourage children of all ages to read books and also support a unique
charity.
I hope you will join Maisy and me so we can all have some fun reading!
Best wishes and thanks,
Lucy Cousins and Maisy

Up for Reading campaign in a number of ways.
In particular,
she has allowed the charity to use many of her beautiful Maisy
illustrations and she donated a fabulous original Maisy painting
for the Up for
Reading 2008 campaign (shown to the right). This was which
was awarded to one of the children who raised money
by taking part in Up for
Reading 2008 - see the prizes page.
Lucy Cousins is the best-selling author and illustrator of countless
children's books, but is best known for her world famous series

Did you know?
Maisy's birthday is 10 February -
why not celebrate her birthday by taking
part in Up for Reading that week!
