I'm really delighted to support the Up for Reading campaign,  organised by Down Syndrome Education International.

As someone who loves books and reading, I can't think of a more enjoyable way of raising money than through a sponsored read!

Please take the time to look at how YOU can get involved in Up for Reading.

It's really easy to do so and will help Down Syndrome Education International to further improve their support for young people with Down syndrome. It's a hugely worthwhile cause.

There are prizes for participating individuals and organisations but, best of all, you'll be making a real difference.

Justin Somper is author of the popular Vampirates books for older children. He has recently published the fifth full-length book in the Vampirates series and is currently writing the sixth.

The Vampirates books have received acclaim from critics and authors. Justin also wrote a special Vampirates book for World Book Day 2007.
