Up for Reading prizes

All of the children, nurseries and schools taking part in the Up for Reading campaign have a chance of winning a prize - no matter how much they raise.

Up for Reading 2009 prizes

We have some fabulous prizes for Up for Reading 2009.

If you take part in Up for Reading 2009, you or your school/nursery have the chance to win prizes including:

• a visit to your school by Anthony Horowitz
• an original illustration by Nick Sharratt
• a visit to your school by Justin Somper
• Stormbreaker goodies signed by actor Damian Lewis
• Val Tyler as a virtual writer in residence for one term
• a visit to your school by Steve Weatherill
• a selection of signed Jeremy Strong books
• books signed by other Up for Reading supporters

Closing date

The Up for Reading 2009 campaign runs until 31st July 2009. All entries into the prize draw must be received by that date.

All Up for Reading 2009 prize winners will be notified by post on or before 30th September 2009.

Up for Reading 2008 prizes

Up for Reading 2008 featured a range of fabulous prizes for children, schools and nurseries who participated. Congratulations again to the winners of the Up for Reading 2008 prizes :

• Anchors Nursery in Hampshire and Toddington St Georges School in Bedfordshire both won £500 in National Book Tokens.
• Emily from Essex won an original signed Maisy painting generously donated by Lucy Cousins.
• Alex from Ayrshire won the amazing opportunity to have his name featured as the lead character in one of Michael Morpurgo's next books.
• Four other children won £25 in National Book Tokens - Finn from Somerset, Rory from Hampshire, Max from Warwickshire and Komal from Buckinghamshire.

These prize winners were all selected at random from all those children who returned an Up for Reading sponsorship form and all those school and nurseries raising more than £50.
